Den dåb i Canada er hovedsageligt til stede siden ankomsten af loyalister fra USA .

Historie

Dåben i Canada har sin oprindelse i en amerikansk mission i Sackville, New Brunswick i 1763. Den første officielle baptistkirke i Canada er Wolfville , Nova Scotia, grundlagt på29. oktober 1778.

Baptistiske trosretninger

Der er flere baptistkonventioner over hele landet. F.eks. Er der de canadiske baptistministerier grundlagt i 1944, The Fellowship grundlagt i 1953 og den canadiske nationale baptistkonvention grundlagt i 1985. Disse trossamfund samler regionale fagforeninger, som i Quebec, med Association of Evangelical Baptist Churches i Canada. (tilknyttet The Fellowship ), Union of Francophone Baptist Churches of Canada (tilknyttet Canadian Baptist Ministries ).

Baptistiske teologiske institutter og seminarier
