Den festival af Glastonbury , officielt kaldet Glastonbury Festival of Contemporary Performing Arts , er en af de største festivaler i musik og scenekunst verden. Historie

Den første festival blev afholdt i 1970 under navnet "Pilton Festival", der deltog af 1.500 festivalbesøgere, derefter i 1971 under navnet "  Glastonbury Fayre  ". Denne sidste koncert resulterede i en film af Peter Neal i 1972, hvor Traffic , Melanie , Arthur Brown og Fairport Convention vises .
